Wellhead Equipment Tubing Head, Tubing Head Spool, Tubing Hanger
Tubing head is usually a spool with both flanged ends, which is set
on the top flange of casing head to hang tubing hanger and seal the
annular space between the tubing string and oil-layer casing and
which consist of tubing head spool and tubing hanger.
Functions:
Hang the tubing string inside well;
Seal the annular space between tubing and casing;
Give a crossover to connect casing head downwards and to connect
Christmas tree upwards;
Provide both side outlets in tubing head spool body through which
to execute injection and well wash operation.
Tubing hanger is an assembly to support tubing string and seal the
annular space between tubing and casing, which is connected with
tubing and seated into tubing hanger spool by tubing gravity. It is
convenient to operate and replace wellhead so that it is widely
used for intermediate depth well and common well.
Features
1. Secondary seal between tubing hanger and adapter hanger can be
“O” ring, BT seal or metal-metal seal;
2. Metal-metal seals, special elastomer seals, or metal+special
seals are set between tubing hanger and tubing head;
3. Tubing hanger for tubing head has straight type seat bore and
45°cone of hanging shoulder, wth strong loading ability;
4. Complete with lubricator and sealing test port;
5. Secondary seal mechanism is set at the bottom flange, which can
be “O”seal,BT seal or metal seal;
6. Tubing hanger and tubing head adapter flange can be penetrated
through cable or cable penetrator and be provided with control
pipeline interface;
7. Tubing hanger can be set with BPV thread as required;
8. The flanges are provided with locking screw;
9. The connection type of side outlet is bolted with VR thread for
valve-replacement operation.
Tiptop manufactures tubing head spool in full accordance with API
6A. The body is made of forged or special smelt steel, providing
high bearing strength, safety and reliability. Side outlets could
be pipeline thread or studded, studded side outlet is machined with
1 1/2’’ female thread.
