Power Tong
Casing power tongs are widely used for making up and breaking out
of casings or pipes. The casing power tong features high
efficiency, safety, reliability, labor saving and ensures
connection quality. Tong head is designed as open and equipped with
advanced swing type double jaw assembly, which can secure reliable
clamping. This series of casing tongs can be configured with torque
device to perform computer monitoring and managing on pressure,
torque and rounds. The casing tons are designed and manufactured
according to API 7K.
Features:
1. Opening type, convenient and prompt to enter and slide off the
working position, with an integral tong head of great strength and
rigidity.
2. Double swing head jaws, very convenient to assemble and
disassemble, with the best design for tangent-diameter ratio,
ensuring the reliability of gripping and easy backslide.
3. Band brake of great moment, easy to operate and convenient to
maintain and replace.
4. Notched gear support structure, greatly improving the strength
and rigidity.
5. TQ340-35 has three gear shifts with double-rowed planet gear.
The unique way of shifting with air tyre clutch without stopping
the tong avoids the defect of the general tong that the motor has
to stop when putting into the dies so that there is less time
efficiency.
6. The gear motor is produced with special technology and
structure, and increases its torque by 20%.
7. The case is thickened with manganese steel. The jaws are cast
with precise technology, artistic and strong.
8. The hydraulic torque gauge as well as the joint for a round –
torque gauge makes it possible for computers to manage the process.
